I love making, crafting, and designing products, furniture, and artwork. I craft interactive designs of hybrid artefacts that weave together art and technology. Each piece is carefully designed and finished with polish as a lasting and meaningful object in a world of fast disposable design.
My studio at Queen's University (Canada), iStudio, is a place where interaction design meets interior design (I call that fusion 'interioraction') and where handcraft meets digital fabrication i.e. where stitches, circuits, and glass come alive. From here, my work has travelled to exhibitions around the world, carrying stories of heritage, innovation, and imagination.
Working with textiles, glass, and digital tools feels like second nature to me. I’m drawn to the rhythm of making, whether I’m sketching a pattern, digitizing a design, or finishing the details on a piece by hand. There’s something grounding about blending craft with digital fabrication and transforming them into artefacts that invite interaction and tell a story.
I work across hand-painting, 3D-printing, digital embroidery, computational weaving, 3D-knitting, laser-cutting woodwork, and animated stained glass to bring different techniques together. Whether it’s a wearable piece, an interactive furnishing, or an exhibition installation, my goal is to create artefacts that are polished, playful, and meaningful. This practice is my way of connecting with people, sharing something made with care, and giving familiar materials a new life through design.
